Îlots D1-D2, Reims
TRANSACTION
The D1-D2 îlots are directly opposite the Halles du Boulingrin, Reims’ covered market with its superb early 20th century vaulted architecture. The local council has launched an operator tender process to develop a mixed use project involving life-style hotel accommodation, offices, food-court and retail units.
The response from the Le Hall group, led by Ma, will involve the participation of an international hotel group as investor and hotel operator. The usage concept seeks to highlight local expertise in all domains and provide a local interpretation of the concept of innovation.
In real terms this means that the operation will progress in close collaboration with local craftsmen and creators in order to ensure the site’s identity. The site will be occupied by local caterers and retailers who will in turn be working with the region’s producers and manufacturers.
This mixed use project has been conceived to interact with its local public spaces and to have shared usage philosophy with the Halles de Boulingrin.
