In the early 1900s, the Fontainebleau estate saw the construction of several large bourgeois homes, nestled near the forest, seeking absolute peace and wild nature. The Villa Bramefaon is a characteristic example of this period, located in Barbizon.
Four independent apartments
The original house offered no less than 600 m² of floor space spread over three storeys. This ample space now houses four fully independent apartments – Mulot, Lérot, Campagnol, and Hérisson – each inheriting the best features of the Villa: exceptional direct views of the forest, large private terraces on both the ground level and upper floors, spacious sun-filled interiors, and charming architectural details subtly revealed by the very contemporary design of the Ciguë architecture firm.
My village is Barbizon!
Being able to walk, in just ten minutes, or bike, to the main street of a preserved village is now a form of almost unimaginable luxury. When that village is Barbizon, that dream comes true. As the owner of one of the Villas Bramefaon, you become a true Barbizonnais or Barbizonnaise. Unlike the visitors rushing through the village of the world-famous Impressionists, you get to enjoy each day, in every season, a village that lives: meeting at the café after the market, children going to school, local shopkeepers calling you by your first name…

Paris, just when I want it!
The train, accessible from the Melun or Fontainebleau stations, takes you to Paris in just over half an hour. For work, friends, or leisure, it’s the perfect location. And when you prefer driving or cycling, the capital is easily accessible via the A6 in just over an hour.
The Fontainebleau forest
The immediate surroundings of the Villas Bramefaon are highly sought after. On one side, the Fontainebleau forest, easily accessible – an incredibly rare privilege in daily life.
On the other side, your only neighbours are seven timber-frame homes, with an elegant and understated design, that blend into the surrounding vegetation – a reassuring and peaceful proximity.
The Villas share a natural swimming pool and a shared vegetable garden.
For the Villas, pure creation, preserved spirit
The four Villas were all designed as contemporary living spaces, each different, yet all deeply rooted in the simplicity and comfort of the forest’s original charm. They are built to high environmental standards with new construction techniques of the highest quality.
Two apartments are located on the ground floor, at street level, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings. The other two are duplexes on the first and second floors. All of them feature two essential concepts: openness and generous volumes, as well as plenty of natural light.
